Located on Confresi Beach on the north coast of the Dominican Republic in Puerto Plata, this hotel is less than 3 km from the town of Puerto Plata and the Amber Museum, and is just 30 minutes from the International Airport of Puerto Plata. Stretching along the golden sands of Cofresi Beach, the jewel of the Amber Coast, lies this complex, the essence of a true tropical beachfront resort. The buildings are low-rise Mediterranean style, amid Caribbean style thatched roofs and cobblestone walkways, comfortably blending with the surrounding mountain ranges and sparkling hues of the ocean. There are 282 spacious guest rooms divided into 229 Tropical Rooms, most with ocean views, and 53 Junior Suites. Facilities include a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange, air conditioning, a bar, an auditorium, a restaurant and Internet access. Room and laundry services (fees apply) are available as well as a car parking and a kids club.

The guest rooms include two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, individual air conditioning, a direct dial telephone, cable TV, a hire safe, a balcony or terrace, an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, a mini-fridge and an ironing set.

The full daytime activities programme includes jogging, games, a gym, occasional live music, Spanish lessons, beach and pool volleyball, 2 tennis courts, bicycles, horse riding (fees apply), non-motorized water-sports: snorkelling, introductory scuba diving lessons in the pool, windsurfing, boogie boards, kayaks, dance lessons, spa (for an added fee) and evening entertainment and live shows in the amphitheatre. This holiday complex is located at the southern end of the tourist district, within walking distance from a tropical mountainside. Furthermore, Cofresi Bay, with its long sandy beach, is easily within walking distance, just 400 m away. Puerto Plata's international airport is a 30-minue drive away.The comfortable complex includes a total of 80 apartments spread throughout eight 2-storey buildings. There is a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk in the main building as well as a small supermarket and a hairdressing salon. Further facilities include two restaurants, a laundry service, room service, a kids' club (5-12 year olds) with a special children's entertainment programme. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage.The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a fridge, satellite/cable TV, a balcony and hire safe. The suites are fitted with individually regulated air conditioning and include a lounge area with a fan, a seating area and a sofa bed as well a separate bedroom.There are pools with sun terraces, sun loungers and parasols as well as the hotel's own beach club, which is free of charge to hotel guests. Sports activities include tennis (3 sand courts, without floodlights), archery, beach volleyball, billiards and cycling as well as horse riding and golf for an additional fee. There is also a gym on offer within the hotel. In addition, there are a variety of water sports such as diving (PADI and taster lessons in the pool), offshore fishing, wind surfing, snorkelling and kayaking (some of which incur an additional fee). There is also a regular entertainment programme in the evenings to provide some variation for guests.Guests may select breakfast from a buffet.From the international airport: guests leave the airport and take a right towards the main road towards Santo Domingo. Then follow the signs for the hotel.
