Windhoek, with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and atmosphere is a city which can be visited throughout the year. The day is spent at leisure. We are met by our guide at the hotel reception for a briefing at ±18h00.
Hotel Safari or similar (No arrangements)

Day 2: Namib Desert – Sossusvlei
Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colors of the world's highest sand dunes.

Day 3: Namib Desert – Sossusvlei

On the way back to our camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 4: Swakopmund
Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on offer (scenic flights, hot air ballooning, etc. own expense). Overnight accommodation in Guest House (Breakfast only)

Day 5: Brandberg Via Cape Cross
On our way to Brandberg, we visit Cape Cross Seal Colony, one of the largest mainland seal colonies in the world. Brandberg is the highest mountain in Namibia, which peaks at 2573 metres and is famous for its San/Bushmen rock art. The 'fire mountain', is so called because of the effect created by the setting sun on its western face, which causes the granite massif to resemble a burning slag-heap glowing red. We camp at the foot of Brandberg.
Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 6: Twyfelfontein – Himba Visit
Together with the Bushmen the Damara belong to the oldest nations in Namibia. Due to their loose social structures the Damara were not able to defend themselves against aggressors during the colonization of Namibia. This is one of the reasons why their culture has to a great extent fallen into oblivion. Within the framework of the Living Museum of the Damara an attempt was made to reconstruct the ‘lost culture’ of the Damara. We experience the daily routine in our traditional museum, including our traditional blacksmith (making of weapons and tools), tanning of leather (production of traditional clothes), jewellery and crafts, dancing, singing and traditional games, Holy Fire and fire making and much more. We visit the Twyfelfontein area– a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2000 rock carvings and walk to view the ancient Bushman rock engravings. Today (or next morning) we also visit a Himba village to gain a glimpse into their way of life. The Himbas are a semi-nomadic tribe, who live in scattered settlements throughout the region.
Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 7: Etosha National Park
This Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Thousands of wild animals are attracted to the area, including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephant, zebra giraffe and several species of antelope. The birdlife is prolific with 326 recorded species. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are enjoyed with the evenings spent watching an amazing diversity of animals around the floodlit waterhole bordering our campsites.

Day 10: San Village
The earliest known inhabitants of Namibia are the San. Their language, which differs among the different groups and is characterized by numerous clicking sounds. These hunter-gatherers roamed the vast plains of Southern Africa for thousands of years before migrants armed with weapons and searching for new land on which to graze their animals and plant their grain, drove them further and further east into de Kalahari Desert. The San people at the living Museum of the Ju/'Hoansi San at grashoek are the only Bushmen still allowed to hunt traditionally. We visit this beautiful people and learn from their ample knowledge.
Standard Mobile Safari – BUSH CAMP (All meals)

Day 11: Waterberg
The Waterberg Plateau towers 400 meters above the surrounding plains, and 1878 meters above sea level, dominating the landscape for miles around. Waterberg was the site of one of the major turning points in Namibia's history, on the foothills, that the Herero people lost their last and greatest battle against the German Colonial forces at the beginning of the century. In the afternoon we climb up the plateau and enjoy the amazing view. Waterberg Plateau Park or similar – accommodation (All meals)
