If you want to discover the spectacular and less visited nature of Romania, you are invited to a day trip from Bucharest. On this day you will enjoy the beautiful and caudate landscapes of the muddy volcanoes and you will have a wine tasting at a traditional winery.
The guide will pick you up from your hotel in Bucharest. After a journey of almost 3 hours, you will reach an area full of mysteries: Scortoasa, Buzau. Here you will encounter a rare natural phenomenon in the world: muddy volcanoes.
The mud that forms the volcanoes is pushed by explosive gases and drips on their slopes in the form of streams, which gradually dry up. The landscape in this area is constantly changing, precisely due to the constantly draining mud and digging ditches, forming small but impressive canyons.
The guide will present you with the characteristics of the area and will take you to places where you can observe the phenomenon in all its splendour.
In the afternoon, on the way to Bucharest, you will stop at one of the wineries built on the hills of Buzau. Here you will enjoy a wine tasting session of 3 varieties of wines and a walk through the vineyards. You can see what the winemaking process is and why the area is known for its production. If you like what you tried, you can even leave with a souvenir from here.
On the way back you will be able to see the Romanian villages with their mixture of old and new houses.
In the evening, the guide will take you back to your hotel in Bucharest or another place of your choice.
