Depart from Jogjakarta in the morning and take 2 hours driving passing scenic countryside road to a remote Kembang Kuning village (or 1 hour drive from Borobudur area). Enjoy a 2 kms walk on a path way passing a village where you can see the daily life of local people & a crowd of screaming salute from the children. Continue to a hill passing through impressive rice field terraces, tropical plants and if the weather permit you will be able to see the breathtaking view on the west where the majestic mount Sumbing stands and on the east where green fields spread out below while the Merapi, Merbabu, Telomoyo, and Andong mountains towering in the background. Upward to the hill-top passing 170 steps you will reach the hidden temple of Selogriyo meaning “stone house” a Hinduism temple that is said built in 9th century from volcanic stones where the four sides of the wall decorated by statues of gods manifestations and peacefully surrounded by tropical forest. After that walk the same way back to your car. Proceed to Borobudur and discover the biggest Budhist temple built in the 8th century and considered as one of the world´s cultural wonders. Drive back to your hotel.
