Tripoli known as the capital of North of Lebanon district is the country’s second largest city; it has a special Arab/Omayyad character of its own. The mighty Crussades Citadel of Raymond de St Gilles rise on top of the hill overlooking the 3 cities of “Tri-Poli”, then enjoy walking through tight streets inside a souk “market” and admire a Jewelers souk, old soap factories and an open popular market. An ottoman Hammam located inside the old souks as well as a number of historical mosques. Continue by car thru the marina road by the Harbor “ALMINA “ where there was one time a Phoenician town.
