Venture out of Dubai’s glamorous attractions and into the unequaled sights of the UAE’s capital city on this ultimate sightseeing tour. We know that a whole day is not enough to take in the charismatic culture and contemporary allure of Abu Dhabi and discover a wealth of cultures and artistic masterworks the brand-new Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.
Our journey begins with a drive past the Jebel Ali on a two drive to the capital city taking in the desert landscape studded with acacia trees enroute. Our first stop is at the breath-taking Sheikh Zayed Mosque for a photo stop. We then head to the Heritage Village. Our route takes us along a scenic drive along the Riviera styled Abu Dhabi Corniche past the intriguing sights of the capital known for its sky scrapers, palaces and villas. We proceed to the Breakwater Island for a lunch break at the Marina Mall. We then stop outside the Emirates Palace hotel for a quick photo stop.
After the city tour, we then visit the brilliant masterpiece from the prestigious Pritzker - winning architect - Jean Nouvel. The vast 24,000-square-meter Louvre Museum is developed as a stunning micro-city over the water. Referencing the age-old Emirati way of roofing with interlaced palm leaves, it’s especially awe-inspiring for its massive dome featuring an intricate geometric design with over 7800 stars. The natural light which sieves in through the dome’s thin perforations results in a distinct rain of light phenomenon, providing an incredibly natural light-and-shade backdrop for the museum’s treasured displays and sections.
