Take a full day tour to discover the highlights that surround Amsterdam. Discover the windmills of Zaanse Schans, head to the pretty fishing village of Volendam, get to the heart of Dutch politics at The Hague and finally tour the whole of Holland at Madurodam miniature park.

From Amsterdam we head out into the open countryside to Zaanse Schans, where a unique peat meadow landscape awaits you. The oldest industrial area in Western Europe, its landscape is characterised by wooden windmills, barns and farmhouses, and one of few places in Holland where windmills are still in use. You’re invited into a windmill by a local miller who will share their love and enthusiasm as they regale you with fascinating facts. Next stop is the vibrant fishing village of Volendam, on the shore Ijselmeer. A lively and busy harbour, this is the perfect place to soak up the small town charm. Visit the Volendam Museum to learn all about the town’s traditions before touring the Cheese Factory and tasting the cheese.

Then it’s to the unofficial capital of the Netherlands: The Hague. Known as the ‘Royal City by the Sea’, The Hague is a city with a modern skyline and historical city centre blended together. Come and discover the political heart of the Netherlands with us and enjoy a guided walking tour that shows you the city’s highlights. Travel through the whole of the Netherlands at Madurodam, from Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam to Schipol Airport, but of course, in miniature! Spend about an hour here before we head back to Amsterdam.

Duration: Ten and a half hours.

Start/opening time: At 9.45am.
