Program

Day 1:
Medan (Dinner)
Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel for accommodation and dinner.

Day 2:
Medan - Tangkahan (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After an early breakfast at the hotel, continue driving along the roads, leading to Binjai to head north crossing the main road passing several small villages with a rural landscape of rubber and oil palm plantations on both sides of the road interrupted by local low roofed houses on high post to Tangkahan Rainforest, another entrance to the Gunung Leuser National Park. Upon arrival at Tangkahan, drive to the simple lodge for accommodation. After lunch, continue elephant trekking to Leuser National Park which covers an area of 9000 square kilometers in the heart of the Sumatran rainforests, home to a wide variety of exotic species of flora and fauna. It is one of the most threatened ecosystems in the world. You will cross the river and then walk along the river to where we will start the tubing program. The tubing program begins and we will follow the current of the friendly river until the location has been determined. After finishing the tubing, we will walk back to the hotel.

Day 3:
Tangkahan - Bukit Lawang (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, check out and we will walk to the parking lot where our car has been waiting for us to take us to Bukit Lawang. Upon arrival at Bukit Lawang, head to the simple cottage for your accommodation. After lunch, trek from to the surrounding rainforest located on the eastern edge of Gunung Leuser National Park with the opportunity to observe several tropical plants, including a tangle of huge trees, twisted lianas, palm trees, ferns, and wonderful flowers and, fortunately, see wild animals like the orangutan. After trekking, head back to the lodge for accommodation and dinner.

Day 4:
Bukit Lawang / Bohorok - Berastagi - Samosir Island (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Early breakfast, and at appropriate time, drive to Samosir via Berastagi with stop en-route at the rubber plantation, rubber oil rubber plantation, palm oil and crocodile farm, which is the largest in Indonesia with about 1,000 reptiles of different sizes. 1,000 reptiles of different sizes that are carefully segregated to avoid being gobbled up by their larger siblings in open pens older siblings in open pens, where they are packed like sardines. After lunch at Berastagi, we will drive through this green plateau, which is a green grocery store of North Sumatra exploring the farming area, possibly seeing farmers cultivating vegetable gardens, then drive to Lingga village to see the lifestyle of the Karo Batak Karo tribe and their typical houses with an open floor plan in which eight related families live together under a single sloping or rectangular thatched ijuk roof interspersed with more modern ones. Then driving to Tongging Hill, which is located on the northern edge of the Toba Basin to enjoy a panoramic view with a spectacular waterfall known as Sipiso-piso. This waterfall is located in the hills with an altitude of about 800 mdpl and is surrounded by pine forests. With a height of about 120 meters, Sipiso-piso Waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Indonesia. After viewing the waterfall, we will continue the program to visit The Rumah Bolon in the small village of Pematang purba. The Rumah Bolon communal house is the most outstanding open-air museum if only one can be highlighted. Visitors can enter the communal house built by the 12th Chief of solid teak standing on 20 poles. Then, we will drive to Parapat in a scenic way. Upon arrival at Parapat, we will go to the harbor and then cross the lake to Samosir Island.

Day 5:
Lake Toba Cruise (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel. Toba Lake Cruise by boat. Inland, visit Ambarita Village, which has a archeologically important meeting place for the King of Siallagan who supposedly served as a kind of hall of justice with ancient stone walls that were once crowned with a thick fence thorny bamboo. The next stop is the Simanindo Village, which is, to the north end of the island known as the site of some of the best traditional houses of Batak Toba particularly that of the king Sidauruk, which is now a museum and an opportunity to see the folk dance of Toba Batak performed by the villagers and the Tao Island for a short respite and possibly swim in the calm waters of Lake Toba. Then, head by boat to the village of Tomok, walking inland on the road full of tents souvenirs to a site to visit one of the most famous places on the island: the sarcophagus in the shape of a boat 200-year-old King Sidabutar surrounded by those of his descendants. Then sail on Lake Toba back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Lunch en route. Toba Lake cruise back to Parapat.

Day 6:
Samosir Island / Parapat - Medan (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Kualanamu International Airport in Medan city for departure flight.
