Day 1:
HUAY XAI - PAKBENG (Pranzo, Cena)
Arrive in Houei Say, the frontier town on the left bank of the Mekong. Morning departure aboard a comfortable motor boat and descend down the river to reach our destination of Pakbeng. Along the way, the unspoiled banks still offers a combination of countless opportunities for stopovers that allow you to discover the simple life of the people of the river and the ethnic mountain groups.

Dinner on a terrace on the banks of the Mekong.

Day 2:
PAKBENG - PAK OU - LUANG PRABANG (Colazione, Pranzo, Cena)
After breakfast we will visit the colorful market of Pak Beng, where people of the different ethnic minorities that live in the mountains come down to sell their products. Then depart for the second part of the cruise, which descends down the river making a brief stop in a village inhabited by the famous mountain tribe, the H’mong,. When the river narrows and bare rock walls fall upon the water, we arrive to go into the sacred Pak Ou a cave which over the course of the past century due to popular faith has been filled with thousands of Buddha statues.

Before you reach Luang Prabang, we stop again in another village Ban Sangkong, famous for making rise paper and weaving.
Arrive in Luang Prabang by sunset.

Day 3:
LUANG PRABANG (Colazione, Pranzo, Cena)
Half-day visit to the waterfall of Kuong Si, travel a road that runs through a natural landscape of tranquil beauty. Along the way are agglomerations of the H’mong tribe – diehard warriors and opium poppy growers who have now abandoned their old habits but preserve their pride. You will then reach a natural park with a beautiful waterfall whose water cascades over limestone rock formations framed by thick vegetation. One can then calm their excitement in turquoise lagoons and if you are daring enough you can also go for a very refreshing swim.

Visit of Luang Prabang, the former Royal capital situated in a valley in the middle of the Mekong. Due to the incomparable beauty of the site and the extraordinary masterpieces of Buddhist religious architecture, UNESCO has declared it a World Heritage Site. With more than thirty monastery complexes, all of which emanates the mystic sense of spiritualty which immerses in every visitor. Among the many, you don’t want to miss the visit of jewels such as the Vat Visoun, Vat Sene and Vat Xieng Thong. To admire the sweet colors of the sunset go to Vat Chom Si, at the peak of Phy Si, the sacred hill that dominates the landscape of Luang Prabang.

Day 4:
LUANG PRABANG (Colazione)
Waking up before dawn, you can make your way down to the main street of Luang Prabang to see the long line of more than 200 monks with the head of their Patriarch, that silently parade between their religious population which offer them their food for the day.
We return to the hotel for breakfast.
We will visit the National Museum located in the Royal Palace built in 1904, which now houses a rich collection of objects belonging to the Treasury of the Royal family as well as the feature of the Phra Bang – an 83cm high gold statue that according to tradition is the symbol of the Kingdom of Lane Xiang since the 13th century.
