Program

Day 1:
Luang Prabang (Dinner)
Enjoy a culinary journey in the former royal capital of Luang Prabang. At 8.30 am we arrive in the city and we will be met by a guide at the airport. We then transfer to the hotel where we receive a welcome drink and check-in.
Lunch is on your own account. In the afternoon, start your visit to ornate Wat Visoun. This houses That Makmo, known as the watermelon stupa because of its shape.
We head to Wat Xieng Thong. Also known as the ‘golden city temple’, this 16th century complex sits close to the meeting of Luang Prabang’s two rivers at the tip of the peninsula. Adorned in ornate coloured glass, this sacred site is considered to be the town’s most beautiful temple and it serves as a religious and national symbol. It was here that Laotian kings were crowned. Climb to the top of this sacred hill reveals sublime 360-degree panoramic views of the city, the Mekong River and surrounding lush jungle. A small Buddhist temple and a gold stupa are at the top, and its views naturally make this a popular sunset spot.
Dinner at your hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2:
Luang Prabang – Watch Takbat – Pak Ou caves (Breakfast, Lunch)
05.30. Start the day with a dose of spirituality and watch monks carry out the early-morning ritual of tak bat. This forms a daily part of Laotians’ lives and sees monks collect offerings in return for a blessing. We then visit a fresh fruit market before returning to the hotel for breakfast.
We head to the Royal Palace Museum to browse a treasure chest of ancient relics. We continue on foot to Wat Mai, a shrine adorned in black and red lacquer and gold leaf.
Please note that when visiting the National Museum in Luang Prabang, one should be dressed modestly (shoulders and legs must be covered).

We continue to the pier to board a traditional boat and cruise upstream along the Mekong River to visit sacred Buddhist caves. We pass by sweeping rural landscapes and life being lived out on the banks, making a short stop on the way at the picturesque village of Thin Hong to get a glimpse into local life. We then continue to the sacred Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves which house hundreds of Buddha statues. After our cave exploration, we jump back on the boat and enjoy lunch at local restaurant then we return to Luang Prabang, stopping at Ban Xang Khong, a village that specializes in handmade paper.
This evening, we recommend taking a stroll through the night market. Down the street from the former palace, dozens of sellers display there both authentic Laotian crafts, such as woven silk, embroidered textiles, and silver jewelry, as well as made in-Chian offerings of Beer Lao T-shirts and knockoff cotton scarves. The serene atmosphere and beautiful goods make it one of the best palces to buy souvenirs. (Daily: 17.00 pm-10.00 pm)
Dinner is on your own account. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3:
Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall (Breakfast, Lunch)
We head to Ock Pop Tok, a weaving centre and social enterprise that seeks to preserve traditional weaving techniques Through fair trade and sustainable business practices.
we transfer by minivan on a 45-minute drive to Kuang Si Waterfalls. A short jungle jaunt leads us to these striking three-tiered falls, which cascade into clear pools of water that are perfect for a refreshing dip. Wildlife lovers will be in their element as we head to a bear sanctuary founded by the Free the Bears Foundation. This facility has rescued hundreds of bears from the clutches of illegal practices.
