Designed in colonial style, this hotel lies in a stunning mountainous location by a natural wonder and a historical monument. This hotel lies in around 650 hectares of grounds in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is some 1.5 km to the zoo and Virginia Safari Park is around 6.5 km away. There are caves to explore nearby (open seasonally), a wax museum, the Haunted House and the toy museum (for an added fee).

Renovated in 2005, this air-conditioned hotel has a total of 64 rooms, set over 3 floors, and a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a cloakroom and a lift. Guests are also offered a newspaper kiosk, a bar, a dining room and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant. A delicatessen, a seasonal, outdoor café (April to October) as well as a car park are also available.
