Facilities

The hostel has 241 rooms, including 50 single rooms and 69 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hostel include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hostel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. The Generator hostel is a fantastic place to stay for anybody wishing to explore Berlin, located in an up and coming district in former East Berlin and less then 10 minutes by tram to Alexanderplatz. Offering excellent value for money, guests will be impressed by the size of the rooms, modern decoration and warm welcome. Although the rooms without facilities do not have a shower or toilet amenities are situated on the same floor and are maintained to a high standard. The Generator bar is the ideal place to relax at the end of a long day of sightseeing or having a few drinks before a night out on the town. The hostel has a lounge area, The Turbine, disabled access and a business centre. (Guests booking a double room should note that these rooms consist of twin bedding.) Guests should note that local city tax is not included in the rate booked. This will be charged directly to guests by the hotel and payable at check in.
