Situated only a few miles from the city of Perth and on the doorstep to the Scottish Highlands, Ballathie has an enviable location on the banks of the River Tay. This magnificent country house hotel was constructed in 1880 and consists of a main building and a separate building called Riverside. The main hotel comprises a total of 25 rooms, with Riverside offering a further 16 rooms, all with charming period features, spacious en suite bathrooms and tea and coffee facilities. The in-house restaurant serves seasonal dishes prepared using local produce and market fresh meats. Guests may look forward to afternoon tea and sandwiches in the drawing room overlooking the splendid gardens, and those who enjoy the outdoors and sports might make the hotel a base for golfing, fishing, and cycling holidays.

Situated in its own 1500 acre estate, Ballathie has the enviable stunning location on the banks of the River Tay, only a few miles from the City of Perth, close to the Scottish Highlands. The setting and architecture of the house is stunning, with the interiors full of tradition, with elegantly furnished public areas which are warm and welcoming.\nThe hotel has 42 bedrooms - standard rooms in the main house are comfortable, each with an individual style, with views overlooking the river or the surrounding countryside. Master bedrooms are spacious, many with spectacular views, modern touches have been sensitively introduced and blend well with the period bathrooms and features.\nRiverside bedrooms are 100 yards from the main hotel, linked by a lit pathway through the gardens. Each bedroom is incredibly restful, with its own patio or balcony overlooking the river. All riverside rooms have the same luxurious finish as the rooms in the main hotel. \nBallathie has built a reputation for excellent food and relaxed professionalism, where attention to detail and personal attention are genuine and friendly and Scottish hospitality is offered in abundance.

Typical day excursions include trips to the Royal Deeside, Speyside and Aviemore, Inverness, Fort William and the West Coast.Situated in the grounds of a country house hotel, the lodge is a separate building which was completed in August 2003. The holiday lodges are fully serviced and meals and bar facilities are provided in the hotel. Parking is available.The lodge provides 11 guest rooms, consisting of 7 double rooms and 4 twin/doubles. All rooms are self contained with en-suite facilities. They are also equipped with free-view television, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephones.A wide range of activities such as quad biking, archery and falconry can be enjoyed on the private estate under qualified instruction, tailor-made to suit your requirements. The Scottish Highlands and Perthshire offer some of the finest salmon fishing and scenery in Scotland.
