Location

The hotel enjoys a unique location amongst the glens, lochs and mountains of the West Highlands of Scotland. The accommodation is situated 5 km north of Fort William, the outdoor capital of Britain, and is set at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. There is skiing in season at Nevis Range, just a 20-minute walk from the property. Inverness Airport is about 105 km from the hotel, while Glasgow Airport is some 165 km away.

The hotel was built in 1843. The hotel has 17 rooms, including 2 junior suites, 2 suites and 12 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Inverlochy was built in 1863 by the first Lord Abinger, near the site of the original 13th century fortress. Each of the 17 bedrooms, all with private bathroom, have their own individual design and character, along with splendid views of the grounds and surrounding mountains.
