This comfortable, well-equipped lodge is located in El Portal overlooking the Merced River. It is just 4 km from the western entrance to the famous Yosemite National Park.

Facilities

278 rooms, including 76 single rooms, are available to guests in a 3-storey main building and 9 auxiliary buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. This comfortable, well-equipped lodge is located in El Portal overlooking the Merced River. It is just 4 km from the western entrance to the famous Yosemite National Park. Renovated in 2004, the hotel consists of several buildings with a total of 278 rooms. The main building houses the reception area with a safe, cloakroom, newspaper stand and lift access. Further facilities include a cosy bar and an inviting restaurant. The tastefully fitted rooms all come with an en-suite bathroom, a well-equipped kitchenette and a balcony or terrace. The air conditioning and heating are individually regulated. Depending on the season, guests can make use of the two outdoor swimming pools. The hotel also has a small indoor swimming pool with several hot tubs. Breakfast is served every morning. Dinner can be taken as a set menu.

Yosemite View Lodge is the closest accommodation outside the park to any of Yosemiteandapos;s 4 entrances. If you are visiting from November through March, you should expect chain requirements to be in effect (though itandapos;s possible you may not need to use chains), even if you only plan to visit Yosemite Valley and use the shuttle bus. Any time chain controls are in effect, all vehicles must have chains in possession, including four-wheel drive and rental vehicles. 5 rooms or more, per night are considered a group booking.
