Patzcuaro is 40 minutes' drive and the beach at Ixtapa is 2 hours and 10 minutes away by car. The central bus station is a 25-minute ride away on public transport and Morelia International Airport is just 35 km away.

Renovated in 2008, this mansion was converted into a charming hotel in around 1883 and now comprises a total of 26 rooms over 3 floors. The lateral façade was totally rebuilt in the 19th century, highlighting the balconies which are in neoclassical style. Because of the historical and architectural value of the building, it has been added to the UNESCO list of historic monuments and is a World Heritage Site. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and 24-hour check-out service, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom and lift access. It also offers a café, a restaurant, conference facilities and WLAN/Internet access. Guests may also take advantage of the room and laundry services for an additional fee. There is parking and a garage available for those arriving by car.
