Program details

Sit back and soak up the sun as you sail to the charming Greek island of Kos. As you set off by boat from Turkey this beautiful island welcomes you from across sparkling azure waters with its captivating gaze.

After your boat ride to the capital, Kos Town, you’ll have the day to yourself to explore (guide not included) this pretty island at your leisure. Known for its sandy beaches and classical antiquities, this Dodecanese gem offers a little of something for everyone. Prepare to be enchanted by the town, where ancient and modern sit side by side. Take a stroll and admire the boats bobbing in the harbour, or dip into the shops and boutiques that sit along the attractive tree-lined streets behind. Sip coffee in the shaded square whilst contemplating the huge plane tree, said to have been where Hippocrates held lessons 2,400 years ago. History lovers will want to see nearby Asklepieion, one of Greece’s most important classical sites. Its marble temples mark where the world’s first hospital once stood. You can also visit the 15th century Knights fortress and breathe in panoramic sea views from its battlements.

After seeing the town, you can choose to relax in the sun on one of the many golden beaches. Recline upon the soft powdery sand or go for a leisurely swim in the glistening water. There is an array of tempting restaurants and traditional tavernas where you can savour delicious Greek specialties as the sun dips below the horizon, before catching your ferry back.
