This action packed day includes everything you could wish for an all in one trip! Join us for this multicultural adventure, exploring new cultures and receiving the kindness of the local people in the place they call home.

We start the day in the sugar cane plantations, a nice and sweet way to begin our journey! Here you will see a new Trapiche and learn how the delicious Dominican Rum is made!

After, we will make our way to a local school, a lovely experience for all. Whilst here they will explain the educational program of the Dominican Republic and you will get the chance to truly emerge into their real life everyday culture. An incredibly interesting experience, think back to when you went to school and how the two experiences contrast! This is a real eye-opener!

Then our tour will head over to the Basilica La Altagracia, the most important and sacred church in the country. Observe a beautifully spiritual place of worship for the local people. Once having discovered the church, we will go to the Horseback riding ranch where we will have the pleasure to go for a 20 minute ride by horse. This is an incredibly liberating and peaceful journey that will leave you wanting more!

After horse riding comes a refreshing trip to the Anamuya River, an excellent chance to go for a dip and cool off in the natural waters. Why not enjoy a “Cuba Libre” whilst listening to the serene sound of nature?

Time for lunch! Fill up on a delicious Dominican style buffet: White rice, Dark rice with beans (Moro), Chicken creole, Beef creole, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Salad bar and fresh fruits.

Once lunch is finished, our knowledgeable tour guide will lead us to a typical countryside house, where they will explain the local coffee, cacao and exotic fruits. You will then be able to sample all the local produce and will be also offered the chance to purchase some to take back to your own country!

Later, we return to the sugarcane plantations, for the guide to explain how the Rum is made and we will also be shown a Tobacco demonstration of how it is rolled and made.

Finish the day by riding through Higuey City market and passing by San Dionisio’s Church. A perfect way to end a perfect day.
