Previously a residence for the King of France, the Louvre is now the most-visited museum in Paris and one of the most famous internationally. Many visitors come to the Louvre to admire the famous glass pyramid created by the American-Chinese architect Ming Pei, which forms the very futuristic entrance to the museum. This fascinating pyramid points to all of the wonders that are stored within its walls.
Let yourself be captivated by the amazing skills of the old masters, with masterpieces by Da Vinci, Véronèse and Géricault. Gaze in wonder at the enigmatic Mona Lisa, fall in love with the beauty of Venus de Milo, admire the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the enormous Marriage at Cana, the beautiful Coronation of Napoleon or The Raft of the Medusa de Géricault, to name but a few.
After your visit, you can wander through the Tuileries gardens to Place de la Concorde. If you decide to continue your stroll down the Champs-Élysées, why not visit the Arc de Triomphe, which stands tall at the end of the avenue?
