Wander around this astonishing landscape and stroll over to the Windy Ridge, which is the closest accessible point to the crater. Use the opportunity to take some photographs of Mount St Helens and overlook the Spirit Lake. Learn about the volcanic collision with the lake. Pass by the Mount St Helens Visitor Center at Silver Lake and view the interesting exhibitions about the area’s culture and history. Be informed about the geology of the volcano and the eruption.
