Hop on the bus for a brilliant introduction to the history of Boston with the Beantown hop on-hop off trolley tour. Climb aboard to see Beacon Hill, the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Discover all the sites of Revolutionary-era and modern Boston. Drive through the oldest neighbourhood in Boston, Charlestown, visit one of the world’s oldest naval vessels, the USS Constitution, or hop off at Fenway Park to catch the legendary Boston Red Sox baseball team in action. Wherever you go, Boston has plenty of surprises for the curious visitor and the hop on-hop off trolley tour makes it easy to see them all.

Next, visit the Mapparium exhibit at the Mary Baker Eddy library, a stunning three-storey high stained glass globe that offers one of the world’s most accurate representations of the size and placement of various countries, as well as striking acoustic effects. From May to October, you can also choose to board a Boston Harbour Cruise at the New England Aquarium or at the Constitution Wharf instead, embarking on a 45-minute adventure that will give you a whole new perspective on this captivating city.

Start/opening time: Trolley departures are approximately every 20 minutes from 9:30am to 4:30pm March-November, and 10:00am to 2:00pm December-February.
