Il programma nel dettaglio

While Croatia is best known for its coastline, the landlocked capital is less recognized by visitors. It’s time to put Zagreb in the spotlight. Sights such as Ilica Street, King Tomislav Square, or the Museum of Broken Relationships cater to everyone. Discover this inspiring city rich in history and culinary habits by taking private tours.

We start with a walk around the oldest parts of Zagreb – Kaptol, and Gradec.

One of Zagreb’s many curiosities is the way the old town developed as two separate hilltop settlements side-by-side. And their relationship wasn’t always friendly either!

Kaptol and Gradec did not integrate for many hundreds of years. Kaptol is where the clergy was based, the diocese of Zagreb being founded here back in 1094. The main landmark in Kaptol is Zagreb Cathedral, which dates to the city’s earliest year but was razed by the Mongols in the 1200s and then was damaged in a 19th-century earthquake. Take a look at what remains of the cathedral’s fortifications, which were built when the building was used as an observation tower during the Ottoman wars.

Walking way up Radićeva street, an old street full of lovely bars and little designer shops, we’ll arrive at one of the most remarkable points in Zagreb: St. Mark’s Square where you will learn the most important things about Croatian history and political system.

After the introduction to the capital’s history and contemporary culture, get ready to enjoy Croatia with all your senses! You will try the finest Croatian cheeses and typical wines and – fall in love with them!
