During your stay in Frankfurt a visit to the apple-cider district, Sachsenhausen, is a must. You will learn the story of Frankfurt’s apple wine while enjoying the neighbourhood’s intimate, almost village-like atmosphere. The fields around this city are some of the richest in apple produce in the country, so it is only natural that fresh apple juice would be allowed to ferment and become an alcoholic drink.
The traditions of Old-Sachsenhausen and how this special wine is produced is also a pertinent part of this tour.
