Welcome to Gibraltar, the rocky outcrop that harks back to Britain’s imperial past and where the Union Jack flies proudly over the hilltop Moorish castle. This excursion combines history, multiculturalism, duty free shopping, impressive caves and the funny and famous monkeys of Gibraltar. Once we have crossed the border, begin with a panoramic tour which includes Europa Point, from where you can contemplate Africa just a few miles across the straits. From the top of the rock itself, you can admire the stunning views of the Andalusian and Moroccan coastlines.



Explore the rock itself, which has more than 150 caves inside, with a visit to the 300 metre-high St Michael’s Cave. Meet the troops of wild Barbary macaques, the only population of such monkeys in Europe. Legend has it that as long as they are on the rock, Gibraltar will remain British.



Modern Gibraltar is also a thriving commercial hub and you have free time to wander the area around Main Street where the duty free prices lure bargain hunters all year round.
