Even in a country were beautiful beaches are a given, Frances Beach stands out from the rest. You may even be forgiven for thinking you are seeing double on arrival as a coral reef a few metres from the strand creates the effect of a shoreline. But Frances is more than just a spectacular beach; it’s a place that is the quintessence of the real Brazil and where friendly vendors sell local specialities. This enchanting excursion also includes a visit to Barra de São Miguel, where there is a wide choice of beach bars and diners.



Come along and enjoy a wonderful trip to one of the liveliest and most idyllic beaches along the southern Alagoas Coast. Wade into the clear turquoise waters, which cast a magical spell attracting visitors from far and wide. The offshore reefs help calm the waves and protect the inner shore, keeping the waters warm.



Pick a spot in the fine white sands, perhaps under the shade of a palm tree, and then run into those inviting waters. Chill out and rehydrate Brazilian style by drinking the coconut water straight from the fruit itself. Vendors sell their wares either at stalls or by hawking them with fresh fruit – there are coconuts trees on the beach – fresh oysters, corn on the cob and fritters among the many popular products on offer.



Afterwards, head to Barra de São Miguel, where the many restaurants offer an extensive menu of delicious regional dishes. As relaxing days at the seaside go, few can beat a day at Frances Beach.
