Punta Arenas is a city of history, in every corner is reminisces the adventures and experiences of its pioneers.

lt was the first permanent civilized human heart of Southern Patagonia. lt starts sets as a fledging colony ion December 18th, 1848, and became the most important, cultural, industrial, and commercial city in Patagonia.

An overview of the city and the Straits of Magellan,a well-planned tour of its streets and squares that house around 30 monuments,and a fascinating visit to the Salesian Museum Maggiorino Borgatello where you can see its magnificent collections of specimens of the flora and Magellan fauna¡unique relics of folklore and crafts of the lndians Yaganes,Ona, and Alacalufes. This will allow visitors to obtain a full understanding of the city and its inhabitants.

Tour Fort Bulnes
Former experience invites us to recall the historie Fort Bulnes,located south of Punta Arenas {58 km) and a memorable milestone for those who inhabited this place. The fort appears alongside the legendary Strait of Magellan.

Santa Ana, is today a reconstruction of the first Chilean garrison in southern lands,which opened during the government of ManuelBulnes for the issue of the Ancud schooner, 30 October 1843, and abandoned in 1848 when the population moved to its current location;the city of Punta Arenas.

Details:The tour takes us through a beautiful walk along the Strait of Magellan and fields surrounded by flowers .Once in the fort, you can browse the various buildings such as the chapel,jail,court of the guns, houses,stables and kitchens.All built with native wood and an ax.

While returning to Punta Arenas,we will see the ruins and monuments that recall the ancient settlement later called King Philip, port of hunger due to the tragic death of all its inhabitants and the beautiful fishermen Cove Bay Mansa. Finally, we will stop briefly in the milestone that sets the middle of Visviri measured from Chile to Antarctica.
