Through the various elements that make up the Centre for Interpretation, you will discover not just the city’s past, but also its present on this hour long tour.

Enter into a scene from a fairy-tale as Concepcion castle looks as if it was taken straight from the pages of a story book. Make your way to The Centre for Interpretation of the History of Cartagena, located on one of the five hills that protect the city. Built in the remains of the castle, it is now an integral part of the Torres Park and a great source of information.

With a panoramic lift that bridges the distance in height between street level and the castle, get a fantastic view of your surroundings. Here, using state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, learn more about Cartagena’s history in a fun and enjoyable way. With the help of interactive panels, you can find out all about the city’s evolution, through simulated images of its inhabitants, famous personalities, milestones and periods in its history. Start/opening time: 1 July – 15 Sep., daily from 10am to 8pm.
31 March – 30 June, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 7pm.
Easter, daily from 10am to 7pm.
16 September – 4 November, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 7pm.
5 November – 30 March, from 10am to 5.30pm.

Others: Children under three years of age are given free admission.
