Elaia offers traditional flavours and quality service in a great atmosphere. The restaurant was the setting in which Melina Mercouri mesmerised Jules Dassin in the Sixties cult movie, Never On Sunday... today, Elaia offers us a journey through time and tradition.

In one of Plaka's most central and beautiful spots, Elaia, which means olive tree in Greek, offers you a wonderful dining experience in a carefully appointed space. Housed in a three-storey mansion, attention has been paid to the minutest aesthetic detail to keep it in harmony with the heritage and culture of the area. Guests can enjoy a breathtaking view stretching from the Acropolis to Lycabettus Hill from Elaia's atmospheric rooftop. This provides a particularly romantic setting for dining during the summer months as you watch the sun set over the city skyline.

At Elaia we offer select Greek dishes with the taste and flavours of Crete: savoury and sweet traditional Cretan pies and other delicacies are some of the typical choices that will tantalise your taste buds. Enjoy traditional flavours such as small cheese pies, Sfakiot pitta with goat cheese, tender, tasty veal, and for dessert syrupy pastry with ekmek ice cream.
