The USS Midway Museum is an unforgettable adventure for the entire family. Go to sea without leaving port!



Explore more than 60 exhibits with a collection of 25 restored aircraft. Located in down-town San Diego, this historic naval aircraft carrier museum is a once in a lifetime opportunity for visitors of all ages.



The USS Midway saw service between 1945 and 1992 and was the largest ship in the world for a decade with a crew numbering over 4500. Experience life at sea without leaving port. Find out for yourself what it was like to live in this this floating a city at sea.



Explore the galleys, the ship's bridge, the 1.6 hectare flight deck, the hangar deck, the mess deck, the primary flight control area, the Tactical Flag Command Centre, enlisted and junior officer quarters, the captain's and admiral's quarters, the sickbay and the engine-room of the first U.S. warship too big to transit the Panama Canal.



You'll also find over 60 exhibits, 25 restored aircraft, optional flight simulators, videos and climb-aboard aircraft, outdoor café and gift shop. Look out for the menu items made from the USS Midway's 1945 cookbook at the outdoor Fantail café.



The museum’s gift shop features a wide range of apparel, books, CDs, DVDs, San Diego souvenirs and unique USS Midway memorabilia. And there are great panoramic views over down-town San Diego.



Admission also includes a self-guided audio tour, featuring USS Midway veterans as narrators. Naturally, located in Navy Town USA, a visit to the Midway is uniquely San Diego!
