Your excursion into two sides of life in the Dominican Republic will show you a slice of what this country has to offer.

Setting out early, your excursion begins as you make your way down to Santiago, where you'll experience city life in the Dominican Republic. Home to some of the best cigars the world has on offer, tour the cigar factory of Leon Jimenez and get to see the manufacturing process of this luxury commodity. Take in the sights and sounds and do a little people-watching as you head over to view the monument of Santiago, constructed in 1944 as a symbol of peace. After getting a taste of city life, you'll continue further south towards Jarabacoa, where you'll get to take in a different side of life on the island. Here your tour will include a visit to Rancho Baiguate and the Baiguate Waterfalls. Refresh yourself with a dip in a large plunge pool. Enjoy seeing the beauty of butterflies with a trip to Papillon Garden, and get your caffeine fix with a tour of a coffee factory. In this southern portion of the country, you will take in spectacular mountain scenery, lush green valleys, rambling rivers and tumbling waterfalls.
