Discover the largest lake in Spain. Located in the heart of Valencia, the Albufera and its surrounding wetlands are a stunning natural space. This inspiring tour takes you on a journey through this very special landscape and afterwards to dine on traditional Valencian paella.

Before starting your boat trip on the lake, your guide will give you an explanation of the geological formation of the lake and an insight to the varieties of birds and fish found in the wetlands to further enhance your experience. The boat trip will take you along channels and gullies that irrigate the many rice fields within the Natural Park area, before coming out onto the vast lake. As you float peacefully along through this spectacular natural environment you are sure to spot a wide variety of birds and ducks. The Albufera is a natural reserve and considered a paradise for migrating birds, as well as home to many different species of fish. The area is also renowned for its eel fishing.

You continue to drift gently along feeling at peace with the beauty of the nature that surrounds you until you reach a traditional Barraca, an humble old farm house on the banks of the river. After a visit to the straw roofed house our journey takes us back to shore where a delicious traditional paella lunch is waiting; without a shadow of a doubt, the perfect ending to a perfect day during which you will have fallen in love with the nature of Valencia.

Duration: Boat ride about 45 minutes and visit Barraca 30 minutes. Free time for luch. Start/opening time: Between 11am and 12pm.
