Why not explore the Turia Gardens, Europe’s longest park? 10km of cycle paths cutting through a snaking swathe of lush parkland, following the old course of the River Turia. Discover acres of sports fields where the locals come to practice all kinds of sports and then continue to the dazzling City of Arts and Sciences, designed by local architect Santiago Calatrava. Here you’ll find five different museums and some really amazing modern architecture.

Another area worth exploring is the beautiful historic centre. You’ll find buildings dating back to Roman and Islamic times. You shouldn’t miss the city’s iconic Cathedral and the impressive city walls either. Enjoy some tapas or an ice cream in the happening neighbourhood of El Carme and then head down towards the coast.
