Welcome to the city’s first gastronomical walking tour! We have just begun to market the Alicante Gourmet Walking Tour, which has been designed to allow people to discover part of the essence of the Mediterranean diet and to showcase products that are typically found in the gastronomy of the city and the region of Alicante. Scheduled to run on a regular basis, the tour is led by an expert guide who provides visitors with a vision of Alicante that combines the history of the city and local “denomination of origin” products.

Scheduled to run on a regular basis, the tour is led by an expert guide who provides visitors with a vision of Alicante that combines the history of the city and local “denomination of origin” products.

The itinerary features some of the most traditional establishments in the city’s historical centre. Store owners and employees explain the delights of Alicante’s gastronomic products to those taking part in the tour, and of course all the participants get to taste their specialties.

In fact the route includes at least 8 different tastings: horchata (a cold beverage made from a local ground nut), chocolate, coca de mollitas (a salty tart with crumbled dough topping), coca amb tonyina (a tuna-based pasty), D.O. wines from Alicante, olive oil, turrones (different types of nougat), salazones (salted fish products), cold meats from the mountains of Alicante, fruit from local orchards… and more!


Establishments and tastings are :
Horchatería:
At the first stop we drink a delicious horchata de Alicante development in one of the most typical places of the city.
Coca de Mollitas y Coca amb Tonyina:
The hand of the same teachers workrooms, taste the tastiest and most traditional of the capital kinks.
Wine Tasting:
Wine experts offer us a tasting of wines from Alicante Designation of Origin wine and we explain the history of the earth.
Gourmet Oleoteca:
Olive oil is essential part of our diet. We will taste the finest varieties of this product named as ''liquid gold''.
Salt:
Next to the Market, Alicante salting test the highest quality and know its origin and rooted tradition.
Handmade Nougat:
In Alicante the year is Christmas. Seize the opportunity to know all about this sweet craft.Only suitable for gourmands.
Sausages:
A luxury Alicante mountain. We can enjoy the best sausage in one of the colorful stalls of the Mercado Central. Fruits Season:
Fresh fruit to finish our walk. Take seasonal dates, figs , grapes, oranges ...Direct Mediterranean garden !
