Il programma nel dettaglio
Discover your wild side with us on this 4X4 off-road trip to the badlands of Cappadocia. Explore the natural wonders of this beautiful, unspoilt region and discover hidden valleys, weird rock formations, churches cut into the living rock and abandoned villages.
After being picked up from your hotel at 10.00 we'll head for the small town of Ortahisar with its fortress cut into the rock. Then it's time to go off road as we trundle through the Uzengi Valley with its hundreds of cave dwellings, known locally as pigeon houses. We'll continue through the unspoilt Gomeda Valley, famous in the region for its lush greenery, heading for the Golgoli Hills and Lake Damsa. This area is renowned for its otherworldly rock formations.
Next we'll make a stop at Mustafapasa, a settlement once inhabited by Greeks before their expulsion in 1924. There will be plenty of time to explore this eerie village with its half abandoned Greek-style mansions and Orthodox churches. Then after a barbecue lunch in the nearby village of Urgup, we'll climb to Cavusin, an ancient clifftop settlement with the houses cut into the living rock. Here we'll visit the Church of St John the Baptist, one of the oldest cave churches in Cappadocia. On the way back to your hotel, we'll drive through Love Valley where you can admire the amazing fairy chimneys, formed by a long process of erosion. We'll arrive back in the hotel at around 16.30.
