Bike and bite your way through Valencia with a delicious cycling tapas tour of the city. See all the main sights and attractions in a healthy and easy-going manner and then relive it all while munching away on tapas in a traditional bar in the centre. Among the areas toured are the historic old town, the Turia Gardens and the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences.

Ride through the historic core of Valencia, seeing all the top landmarks such as the beautiful modernist Central Market, the medieval silk exchange and the Gothic cathedral. Wander past palaces, churches along ancient alleys and through peaceful plazas. See some of the architectural gems that have given the city its special character while burning a few calories in anticipation of the tapas.

In the 1950s, Valencia suffered devastating floods following when the River Turia burst its banks. As a result, the river was diverted southwards away from the city, which left the original riverbed dry. This is now the site of a lush, landscaped green lung that meanders through the city, the Turia Gardens. Cycle the bike lanes flanked by ponds, fountains, flowers, cafés and playgrounds. A wonderful escape route from the urban jungle for residents and visitors alike!

Further ‘downriver’ from the gardens is the ultramodern City of Arts and Sciences, a vast complex of avant-garde buildings. See L'Hemisfèric projection hall, the Museum of Sciences, L'Umbracle – a landscaped walk surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers – L'Oceanogràfic marine park and much more.
