Il programma nel dettaglio

This is the best opportunity to explore Puerto Plata City. This town, known as the "Bride of the Atlantic", is characterized by its Victorian Style houses and its endless golden-sand beaches. It is flanked at north by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean and south by the imposing mountain Isabel de Torres. Puerto Plata's historical importance derives from its primacy as the venue of the principal events that took place in the first decade following the discovery of the Americas, such as being a refuge of pirates and corsairs.

Puerto Plata is also known as the Amber Coast because there lays one of the world's largest amber deposits, the national gem that entraps millenary fossils. This journey will take you to sightsee the San Felipe Fortress, visit the Brugal Rum Bottling plant and the Central Park, finishing the morning off with a wander around the city with time for shopping and seeing the sights.
