Il programma nel dettaglio

If you want to explore pristine rainforests and see native wildlife up-close then the Wooroonooran rainforest safari is for you. This tour includes a guided walk through Wooroonooran National Park, a look at the natural wonders Josephine Falls and Babinda Boulders and visits to the Rainforestation Wildlife and Australian Platypus wildlife parks.

Wooroonooran National Park features countless rivers, waterfalls and swimming holes and some of the world's most ancient rainforests. A stunningly beautiful area, you have the chance to spot birds and crocodiles here in the wild with the guidance of your experienced and knowledgeable guide. Making your way up the Kuranda Range you reach Rainforestation Wildlife Park. A series of elevated boardwalks provides uninterrupted views of Australian animals and reptiles which you can observe with a guide. Hand-feed the free-roaming kangaroos and wallabies in the landscaped gardens, observe the carnivorous tiger quoll, the endangered cassowary, huge crocodiles, wombats and snakes amongst others. Take a stop at Australian Platypus Park on the Tarzali Lakes for platypus viewing and a delicious lunch. With an abundant platypus population you can get close up views of these iconic Aussie mammals as they go about their business frolicking in the water.

After lunch experience the Mamu Aerial Rainforest Canopy Boardwalk and take in the exhilarating vistas of the Johnstone River Gorge. No visit to Wooroonoonan National Park is complete without a visit to the iconic Josephine Falls, a secluded freshwater swimming hole, located at the foot of Queensland’s tallest mountain, Mt. Bartle Frere (1622m). You can even take the plunge in the exciting natural rockslide of the falls.
