Let the soothing sounds of roaring waterfalls relax your mind and body by spending the day at Algar falls. Just outside of Benidorm, in Callosa d'en Sarrià, take an excursion to an inland paradise and get a dose of nature's finest.

Leave the rolling waves of the sea behind for a day, and head inland to see a fun and unique environment. As you make your way to Algar waterfalls, prepare for a day of fun and excitement in a natural playground. Cascading out of rusty red rocky outcroppings and surrounded by vibrant green forest, the Algar waterfalls are a beautiful sight. Spilling into intimate natural pools of clear freshwater, take a refreshing dip and wash away the worries for a day.

Meander along a series of raised walkways, as you make your way along the river's bank and in and amongst the falls to admire the vibrant and brightly coloured indigenous flora and fauna. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a barbecue under the warm Spanish sun. If you'd prefer to leave the cooking to someone else, enjoy a meal at any of the five delicious onsite restaurants. Head back for another round of splashing in the delightful waters, then tip back a refreshing beverage at the bar before you make your return.

A day full of nature's bounty awaits you at the Algar waterfalls, so grab your swimsuit and towel and prepare to be enlivened in this pristine setting.

Meeting/pick-up point: Fuentes de L´Algar (Starting point for the hiking route PR-CV 48. Callosa - Fort de Bèrnia).
Duration: 30 minutes, per way.
Start/opening time: December, January and February: from 8.30am to 3.30pm. March, October and November from 10am to 5.30pm. April and May from 10am to 6pm. June and September: from 10am to 7pm. July and August: 9am to 8pm.
