Journey back in time to the golden age of Valencia with this fascinating walking tour. An expert local guide will tell you all about the time in the 14th and 15th centuries when Valencia was one of the most powerful cities in the Mediterranean as you stroll past some of the splendid buildings and landmarks dating back to that time. A great tour for anyone with an interest in history or architecture.

The late 14th and early 15th Centuries, known as the Valencian Golden Age, were a time of great commercial expansion for the city, where the arts and culture flourished. This boom was reflected in the construction of some of the most emblematic buildings in the city.

The tour will start at the Torres de Serranos, the impressive gateway to the city. We’ll continue from here to the splendid Cathedral, a microcosm of the city’s history with Gothic, Romanesque and Baroque elements. Admire the magnificent Miguelete Belfry, built on the foundations of an Islamic minaret.

The next stop is the splendid Museo Almudin, the city’s old grain store and said to be the oldest church in the city, and the Silk Exchange, the great temple of trade in the city’s Golden Age, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Also included are admissions to the interior of the Cathedral, the Silk Exchange and the Almudin Museum, providing you with the opportunity to admire some of the splendid artworks housed within these beautiful buildings.
