This morning tour of the Ottoman Palace of Dolmabahce and the Yildiz Royal Gardens makes for a relaxing morning away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul.

After being picked up from your hotel at around 08.30 we will head straight for the impressive Dolmabahce Palace Complex. When the Ottoman sultans wanted to update their living space, they moved from the sprawling Topkapi complex on Seraglio Point to this more classically proportioned building on the Bosphorous shoreline. This three-storied palace built on a symmetrical plan has 285 rooms and 43 halls. The palace has survived intact with its original opulent Victorian-style decorations and furniture, abounding in crystal and gilt fittings. This guided tour is the only way to see the palace as it is otherwise closed to visitors.

The Yildiz Royal Gardens were once part of the walled Imperial Gardens and were reserved for palace dwellers. Today the park is a wonderful garden complex with an exuberant collection of flowers, plants and trees gathered from all over the world. You will enjoy a stroll along one of the many pathways, maybe stopping for a Turkish coffee in one of the traditional Ottoman pavilions.

Turkey is renowned for its leather goods and we will take you to an exclusive fashion show at a shopping outlet where you will have the chance to pick up some top quality articles at great prices before returning to your hotel at 13.30.

This morning tour includes hotel pick up and drop off and all transfers as well as the services of an English-speaking guide.
