Il programma nel dettaglio

Discover Nuremburg, the city that made history with the trials that prosecuted high-ranked Nazi officials after World War II. This thought-provoking tour takes you from Munich to Nuremberg, where you will see a great variety of historical buildings and landmarks, some of which will forever be etched on the conscience of mankind.

After departing from Munich, your first stop in Nuremburg is the Documentation Centre and Party Rally Grounds. In these ominous constructions you will learn all about the city’s ties with the Nazis. Nuremberg was chosen by the Third Reich because of its imperial past, when it used to be the seat of the First Reich’s assembly. On these grounds, up to 150.000 Nazis used to hold mass rallies. The uncanny exhibition Fascination and Terror portrays how the city lived the rise of Nazi influence and how it all ended with the famous trials.

Continue then to the charming Old Town, where you will enjoy a guided wander through its many labyrinthine streets. These mediaeval roads are filled with endearingly restored half-timbered houses. See the house of Albrecht Durer, a renowned Renaissance artist and Nuremburg’s most beloved son.

In the Old Town you will stumble upon many magnificent architectural landmarks that were erected thanks to the city’s association with the Holy Roman Empire and its important connection with Italian trade routes. Some of the most prominent examples are the breath-taking Nuremburg Castle, which still to this day stands guard on a hill overlooking the city centre, and the towering twin spires of St Sebaldus’ Church.
