Il programma nel dettaglio

Discover the shrines and natural delights of Ko Samui with a full day island tour.

HIGHLIGHTS:

* See the island’s most popular attractions, including Big Buddha and Hin Ta Hin Yai

* Have lunch at a local restaurant

* Look for local crafts in Nathon

* Discover Ko Samui’s hidden secret

Our first stop takes us to a small rocky island just off the north-eastern corner of Ko Samui. Sitting majestically is a golden 12 meter seated Buddha statue, known as the Big Buddha or locally as Wat Phra Yai, and has remained one of the island’s most popular attractions since 1972. Take in the birds’-eye view from the big gallery and contemplate the manicured beauty of the island.

Discover Hin Ta Hin Yai (Grandmother and Grandfather in Thai), a popular fertility symbol consisting of a rock formation shaped over millions of years by wind and rain into the form of human genitalia, evoking comical interest from both local and foreign tourists. The tour continues to Guan Yu shrine, a celebration of Chinese heritage dedicated to a legendary warrior who died almost 2,000 years ago, standing at an impressive 16 meters high.

We also visit Wat Kunaram, a small temple that houses the mummified remains of a monk who died while meditating and stayed in the lotus position before breaking for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Na Muang 1 Waterfall - Ko Samui’s hidden secret. With water cascading down 18 meters, it flows into a pretty natural pool that provides a cool escape from the heat.

The last point on the tour is Nathon, the capital of Ko Samui and a great place for shopping. Navigate around bustling street markets and browse the luxurious traditional handicrafts for sale.
