The Municipality of Montevideo officially since 1956 Calls Parade, a parade of Negros and Lubolos Societies. Its name comes from the colonial period, and represents the call that people of African descent were brought as slaves when they began to meet, whether for festive activities to address certain social issues. It was customary for a couple of drums of each group out to walk the streets playing candombe and thus begin to assemble the group to get together to celebrate Carnival. Each troupe is made up at least 50 drums, with three expressions: guy, peal and piano; a dance group and a variety of characters that symbolize all the tradition and African culture that brings this popular show Uruguayan behind.




Meeting/pick-up point: Pick-up at the hotel.

Duration: Five hours.

Start/opening time: At 7pm.

Others: Under 5 old goes free without a seat. From 5 old onwards are charged as an adult.
