Day 1: Arrival in Belgrade
Flight to Belgrade. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Belgrade - Skopje
In the morning, we will explore the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. We will see important sites such as the Kalemegdan fortress and the Knez Mihailova shopping street and then cross the Macedonian border to the capital, Skopje. In the evening, a typical Macedonian dinner with music awaits us in a local restaurant.
Day 3: Skopje - Ohrid
In the morning we will explore the capital. We will stroll through the old town with the Kale fortress and the grand bazaar, as well as the new town with the Alexander the Great well and the memorial house of Mother Teresa. In the afternoon, on the way to Ohrid, we will stop in Tetovo, for a visit to the so-called "colorful" mosque. In the evening we arrive at our hotel in the UNESCO-protected city of Ohrid.
Day 4: Ohrid - Tirana
Today we will start the day with a boat trip on Lake Ohrid. The lake is one of the oldest and deepest in the world. We will then explore the city on foot and see sights such as the fortress of King Samuel and the church of St. Periblebtos. In the afternoon, we will drive to our hotel in Tirana.
Day 5: Tirana - Kruje - Shkoder - Bar - Podgorica
After breakfast, we will drive to Kruje, the city of the national hero Skanderbek. Then we will continue to the northernmost city of Albania, Shkoder. We will take a guided tour of the Rozafa fortress, and then cross the border into Montenegro, stopping in Stari Bar to learn more about life in earlier centuries. In the afternoon we will arrive at our hotel in Podgorica.
Day 6: Podgorica - Cetinje - Njegusi - Kotor - Perast - Podgorica
We drive to the ancient capital, Cetinje. Here we will see the ancient Royal Palace. Then we continue to the mountain village Njegusi, where we have the opportunity to taste the famous prosciutto. A unique scenic road leads to the fjord of Kotor, by the way, the only fjord in southern Europe. Afterwards we continue to Perast where we take a boat to the Monastery Island to the Monastery Island at Our Lady of the Rocks. In the evening, return to our hotel in Podgorica.
Day 7: Podgorica - Dubrovnik - Mostar
After crossing the border to Croatia, we will arrive in the "Pearl of the Adriatic" - Dubrovnik. During our 2-hour guided tour, we will see the most important sights, such as the cathedral or the city walls. Afterwards, free time to relax. In the afternoon, we will continue the route to our hotel in the Bosnian city of Mostar.
Day 8: Mostar - Sarajevo
In the morning, we start the day with a visit to Mostar, where we will also see the famous bridge during the city tour. Afterwards, we will continue to the capital of Bosnia - Sarajevo, with a detailed city tour. Transfer to our hotel in Sarajevo.
Day 9: Sarajevo - Tuzla - Belgrade
Before leaving Bosnia, we will stop in the city of Tuzla. The name derives from salt, Tuzla was the largest supplier of salt in the former Yugoslavia. After our tour of the old town, we will continue to Serbia and arrive in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport in Belgrade.
