Program

Day 01: Origin/Lisboa
Arrival to Lisbon airport, and pick-up of the car at the Guerin Rent-a-Car desk. Drive to your hotel and check-in… Welcome to Lisboa. All the time you have still available, set to visit the seven hills city… Landmarks such as the Coach Museum, Jeronimos or the Tower of Belém, Alfama and the Castle, Bairro Alto and of course, the nightlife of Lisbon. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 02: Lisboa/Setubal/Azeitao/Lisboa
Today drive your way through the south of Tagus, to Setubal and Azeitão. In the middle of the beautiful Arrábida Mountain, taste the great wine of the region, and of course the cheese. Visit JMF Wine Cellar in Azeitão and try to have lunch in Setubal. Then, return to Lisbon to your hotel. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 03: Lisboa/Santarem/Tomar/Coimbra
Leave to the north of Lisbon. The first stop should be Santarém, known as the capital of the Gothic in Portugal. Continue to Tomar and do not miss the chance to visit the Convent of Christ. Lunch can be taken already in Fatima and after a visit to the famous shrine, continue to the students’ city of Coimbra. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 04: Coimbra/Mealhada/Porto
Take the morning to discover Coimbra, known as the city of the students, name given after the University established in 1292, is one of the oldest in the country. Visit the old quarters and then set up north to Mealhada. We recommend lunch in one of the many typical restaurants, serving the excellent suckling pork. After lunch, proceed to Porto. On arriving, take our tip… go to Cais de Gaia before going to town. Have a drink and admire the landscape. Arrive at your hotel and check-in. Accommodation in the Hotel.

Day 05: Porto/Regua/Pinhão/Porto
This day should be dedicated to visiting the oldest demarcated area of the world. Drive to Régua and don’t miss the chance to visit one of the wine farms of the region, being that we highly recommend QUINTA DA PACHECA. Continue to Pinhão where we recommend a visit to the train station. The glazed tiles are really fantastic and represent the traditional wine crop, done every year in the region. Continue to Vila Real, and then back to Porto. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 06: Porto/Batalha/Nazaré/Obidos
Return to the south, and after around 90 minutes driving you’ll arrive to Batalha. Take your time to visit this fantastic monument, also considered as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Continue to Nazaré, still today a typical fishermen village where you can’t miss to try one of the typical fish dishes that the many restaurants by the sea have to offer. Continue then to Alcobaça. Ancient Cistercian Convent, and also considered as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Continue then to the south and to Óbidos. Medieval walled town, Óbidos will for sure be one of the most beautiful postcards of your holidays. Taste the typical Ginjinha before or after dinner… Accommodation in the Hotel in Óbidos.

Day 07: Obidos/Sintra/Cascais/Lisboa
Once you’ve taken your breakfast, take the A8 on your way to Sintra. The first stop should be in Queluz to visit the Palace, then the unforgettable Sintra, immortalized by Lord Byron who called her the “Glorious Garden of Eden”. After lunch, we recommend taking the road by Cabo da Roca to Cascais and then Estoril. Drive along the Tagus back to Lisbon.

Day 08: Lisboa/Origin
Time to say “Adeus”…
