Program

Day 01: Origin/Lisboa
Arrival to Lisbon airport, and pick-up of the car at the Guerin Rent-a-Car desk. Drive to your hotel and check-in… Welcome to Lisboa. All the time you have still available, set to visit the seven hills city… Landmarks such as the Coach Museum, Jeronimos or the Tower of Belém, Alfama and the Castle, Bairro Alto and of course, the nightlife of Lisbon. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 02: Lisboa / Tomar / Fatima / Coimbra
Leave to the north of Lisbon. First stop should be Santarém, known as the capital of the Gothic in Portugal. Continue to Tomar and don’t miss the chance to visit the Convent of Christ. Lunch can be taken already in Fatima and after a visit to the famous shrine, continue to the student’s city of Coimbra. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 03: Coimbra / Guimarães
Take the morning to discover Coimbra, known as the city of the students, name given after the University established in 1292, being one of the oldest in the country. Visit the old quarters and then set up north to Mealhada. We recommend lunch in one of the many typical restaurants, serving the excellent suckling pork. After lunch, continue to Guimarães. You’ll be arriving by the mid of afternoon to the cradle of Portugal. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 04: Guimarães/ Braga
Take the morning to visit Guimarães, places such as the castle, the Dukes Palace or the Gothic quarter are a must in town. You’ll find out why Guimarães is UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Then, we suggest setting up north and visit places such as Ponte de Lima and Ponte da Barca. By the end of the afternoon, drive south to Braga. Accommodation in the Hotel.

Day 05: Braga / Porto
Take the morning to visit Braga. Will surely be worthwhile. Spend your time in the old quarters and finish with a relaxing coffee in Bom Jesus. Continue south then to Porto. Continue to Porto and we suggest that on your arrival you have lunch still in Gaia, in Cais de Gaia. From here the perspective over Porto is fascinating. Great postcard before actually going to Porto. In the afternoon, check-in at your hotel and set to discover Porto. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 06: Porto / Batalha / Nazaré / Óbidos
Return to the south, and after around 90 minutes driving you’ll arrive to Batalha. Take your time to visit this fantastic monument, also considered as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Continue to Nazaré, still today a typical fishermen village where you can’t miss to try one of the typical fish dishes that the many restaurants by the sea have to offer. Continue then to Alcobaça. Ancient Cistercian Convent, and also considered as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Continue then to the south and to Óbidos. Medieval walled town, Óbidos will for sure be one of the most beautiful postcards of your holidays. Accommodation in the Hotel in Óbidos.

Day 07: Óbidos/ Sintra / Cascais / Lisboa
Once you’ve taken your breakfast, take the A8 on your way to Sintra. First stop should be in Queluz to visit the Palace, then the unforgettable Sintra, immortalized by Lord Byron who called her the “Glorious Garden of Eden”. After lunch, we recommend taking the road by Cabo da Roca to Cascais and then Estoril. Drive along the Tagus back to Lisbon. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 08: Lisboa/Origin
Time to say “Adeus” …
