Description
This old nobleman's residence, which full of history and a treasure chest of beautiful artworks, was built in 1555 by Don Gilberto Bologni, the Marquis of Marineo, one of the most important figures of the political scene in Sicily at the time. It later became the luxurious home of the Princes of Castelnuovo, who added exquisite frescoes and stucco work created by the most famous artists of the eighteenth century, including the Flemish painter Borremans.
