El Geco Verde is an eco-friendly country house featuring renewable energies in the recently established Geopark of Granada, not far from the charming whitewashed village of Castril.
This is a secluded location, surrounded by nature and tranquility. From the hotel´s veranda or terrace you can enjoy stunning and uninterrupted country and mountain views plus incredibly dark skies at night, perfect for stargazing!
El Geco Verde has been run by the same family since 2010. Our closest village, Castril, with it famous river, natural park and suspended walkway is 13kms by road. There is a farmtrack of 3kms from the hotel to the main road

The nearby Cazorla and Castril Mountains are famous for their spectacular waterfalls, caves and gorges, as well as being home to many birds of prey.
Rooms at El Geco Verde are simple and elegant, with rustic touches. All doubles and family rooms have central heating, TV and private bathrooms. Central heating runs on crushed olive stones, a plentiful and renewable local resource.
Communal areas benefit from free WiFi and include a spacious dining room with pellet burning stove, and a cosy library/TV lounge with log-burning fireplace.
The hotel offers free onsite parking for guests. Granada and Almería Airports are both less than 2 hours' drive from El Geco Verde.
