A unique tour which gives you the opportunity to follow St. Paul’s footsteps by visiting the Ancient town of Filippi and the modern city of Kavala. Tour firstly passes by the city of Amfipolis where you will marvel at the famous Lion of Amfipolis (photo stop)!



Continue to Filippi, an important archaeological site and a city founded by Alexander the Great’s father. Visit the basilica, the theatre, the Roman forum, the cell where Apostle Paul was imprisoned but also the Octagon Church which is the first Christian church in Europe.



After the visit of Filippi, departure for Kavala, a city rich in history, situated in a pleasant natural environment. Built over the ruins of the previous Byzantine fortress and surrounded by well-preserved walls, Kavala is considered to be the ‘’access door’’ of Christianity in Western Europe because Apostle Paul, following one vision, landed there to bring ‘’the good news’’.



Free time at your disposal to wander around the city, visit the old fortress, the aqueduct or to see Muhammad Ali’s house. Return to Thessaloniki late in the afternoon.
