Program details

Join us and discover some of the unspoilt natural wonders of the Dominican Republic on this full day tour from Punta Cana. Make the beautiful journey to the incredible Laguna Limón, one of the most important nature reserves in the country and admire the lush countryside, spectacular beaches and rich local traditions and culture.

The fun starts after you are picked up from your hotel lobby early in the morning and drive past fields of sugar cane and plantations of tropical fruit. Make a stop at a traditional Dominican house where you will have the chance to meet the local people and learn all about the traditional rural way of life that has changed little here over the centuries.

Now we’ll head deep into the rainforest, our destination the Laguna Limon Nature Reserve. First of all we climb to the summit of Mount Redondo for some spectacular views of Samana bay sparkling far down below. You’ll also be able to see the twin lagoons of Limon and Redondo.

This nature reserve is a tropical paradise consisting of two freshwater lagoons that play an important role in the conservation of local flora and fauna. There will be plenty of time for a refreshing dip so remember to bring your swimming costume and a towel.

Then after a delicious buffet lunch consisting of traditional Dominican specialities we’ll continue for a swim at one of the area’s beautiful beaches. This full day tour also includes stops at tropical fruit plantations where you will have the chance to sample some of the delicious local produce. We’ll also stop at a tobacco plantation where you can see how snuff is made.
